A collaboration between the two makers Rachel and Gerard exploring our maternal lineage hair the Catholic imagery of our childhoods farm life 90’s punk girlbands decay domestic realities and the secrets passed from one generation of Irish women to the next. As first-time collaborators Ní Bhraonáin and O’Keeffe found a shared aesthetic and passion for visual storytelling as well as a similar approach to filmmaking that allows for chance and spontaneity.
