Desiree Rancatore is an admirably sweet-toned Nanetta; Bernadette Manca di Nissa an appropriately sardonic Mistress Quickly; Roberto Frontali as Ford in his Act 2 scena perfectly distils and parodies every jealousy aria ever written including Verdi's own.
